EventBridge Scheduled Lambda Event

EventBridge Scheduled Lambda Event

Welcome to the EventBridge Scheduled Lambda Event lab, powered by AWS. In this lab, you will learn how to use AWS EventBridge and AWS Lambda to schedule and trigger serverless functions. EventBridge is a fully managed event bus service that simplifies the integration of applications and services within the AWS ecosystem. Lambda, on the other hand, is a serverless compute service that allows you to run code without provisioning or managing servers. By combining these two powerful services, you can automate the execution of your Lambda functions based on predefined schedules or time intervals.

This lab will guide you through the process of setting up a scheduled event rule in EventBridge and configuring a Lambda function to be triggered by this rule. You will use Terraform, an infrastructure as code tool, to define and provision the necessary AWS resources. Terraform allows you to define your infrastructure in a declarative manner using HCL (HashiCorp Configuration Language), making it easier to manage and version your infrastructure code. By the end of this lab, you will have a better understanding of how to leverage EventBridge and Lambda to automate your serverless workflows.
